Earth Day by Linda Lowery
Our Earth is very important and the way in which we treat it is very important. This book discusses Earth Day and how it came to be. The first Earth Day was a great success and many people in the United States took it very seriously. Other ways were introduced to get rid of trash like recycling. A couple of years after the first Earth Day everyone went back to their regular ways. After many years had passed the same man who started Earth Day called all the people up he did the first time and got Earth Day to be recognized like it was the first time. In the classroom this would be a great book to teach about our Earth. The students need to know how important our Earth is and they need to know in what ways they can help to keep it clean.
